Frequently Asked Questions:

Q: How long have you been making Mermaid Tails?

A: I, Matthew Quijano (Owner and Creator at MerrowFins LLC), have been making Mermaid Tails, accessories, and apparel for over Five years.

Q: What are your tails backed with?

A: My products (Basic Silicone and Partial Silicone) are backed with a double layered scuba knit. It is neoprene without the latex layer, as Latex is bad for silicone, as it contains Sulfur which stops Silicone from curing or will cause a weak bond to the materials.

Q: What kind of Monofin do you use in your tails?

A: My monofin is a custom invented and created monofin that I create using strong but flexible polyurethane plastics, accompanied by 100% silicone foot pockets for your comfort.

Q: What material are your tails made of?

A: All of MerrowFins Mermaid Tails are made of 100% Dragonskin Silicone.

Q: Do you make tails for "Plus sizes?"

A: No, I do not make tails for plus sizes because I do not believe in plus sizes! Humans come in all shapes and sizes. I dont see numbers, I see people!

But to answer your question, I will make ANYONE a mermaid! <3

Q: How long do your products last?

A: My products can last DECADES, if they are cared for properly. I send out Tail Care sheets with my products!

Q: Is custom flukes and fins a possibility?

A: Custom art is DEFINITELY an option! I love doing custom sculptures for people! I get to make other peoples visions come to life! So, YES!

Q: Do your tails have drainage systems?

A: My tails do not have drainage systems. The reasoning is because I have seen people install drainage systems and have them tear and rip and cause a tail MAJOR damage that cost an arm and a leg to repair! It's better to have a solid product than to have holes all over the place.
